What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Painters and Finishers position at Seagrave Fire Apparatus?
Painters are responsible for preparing parts of painting in addition to spraying various primers and paints. Painters also perform small amounts of body work and repairs as well as paint blending.
- Spray primer, interior, and protective paints
- Prepare parts for painting
- Paint parts (gloss or matte black)
- Make small repairs
- Spray minor touches of finish paint
- Buff parts
- Spray exterior and other finishing paint on cabs, bodies, and ladders
- Repair defects or damages to parts or full units which may include small amounts of body work and paint blending
- Set up and control paint systems
- Use paint quality inspection equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.01 - $26.12 per hour
