Position Description
Responsible for general Human Resource administration functions, including recruitment of hourly and staff personnel, recruitment related advertising and website maintenance, Human Resource related recordkeeping, and other Human Resource related functions.
Essential Job Functions
- New Employee On-boarding. Introduces new employees to the company through an orientation which explains rules of conduct, employee benefits, promotional processes, mandatory safety requirements, union membership rules (if appropriate) and other Company policies and guidelines.
- Recruitment and selection; posts and/or advertises open positions, following posting procedures. Conducts initial screening and coordinates interview process with the hiring manager. Works with agencies as appropriate to coordinate recruitment efforts.
- Maintains and creates job descriptions for hourly and staff positions.
- Responsible creating and distributing weekly and monthly reports.
- Consults with supervisors and managers regarding employee turnover, absenteeism, changes in work settings, employee motivation and recognition, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensures Union employee’s probationary reviews are completed timely.
- Responsible for tracking and creating necessary discipline for Union attendance policy.
- Responsible for maintaining employee personnel files.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Degree required
- Experience working with general public.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Social Media
- Superior organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Other Skills/Abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong work ethics.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas.
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
- Must enjoy providing customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Experience with manufacturing is helpful.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
