Job Purpose
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and document incident cases.
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following :
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Install computer peripherals for users.
Repair computer hardware and software.
Clean up computers.
Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
Follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved.
Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
Education : o Pursuing an associates or bachelor's in computer science.
Years of Experience : o 1 year of experience in an IT related field.
Job Knowledge : o Experience with Microsoft, VMWare & Cisco technologies. o Basic Software developing skills
Personal Competencies : o Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills o Excellent communication skills. o User-oriented and good interpersonal skills.
Safety : o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Working conditions are split between a professional office environment and a normal manufacturing environment.
Work involves delegating and operation detail.
Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and / or fingers in a repetitive manner.
Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach / handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
Well-lighted, heated and / or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. The ability to work in loud, hot environments while wearing required PPE
