Job Description
SEAKR Engineering is seeking a Director, Chief Engineering to fill the role of SEAKR Portfolio Chief Engineer (PCE). The PCE serves as SEAKR Engineering’s focal point for engineering program execution. This new position is responsible for engineering’s technical, cost, and schedule execution of the full portfolio of programs within SEAKR Engineering. This on-site position is based in Centennial, CO.
The PCE is accountable for ensuring the technical integrity and successful engineering execution of all programs. The PCE reports directly to the SEAKR Vice President of Engineering and works in close collaboration with the Raytheon Space, Imaging and Microelectronics (SIM) CE along with SEAKR’s Technical Directors.
The PCE Leads a team of Program Technical Leads at SEAKR and will have shared oversight of the technical performance of a total workforce of 200 multi-disciplinary Engineers in both product development and production roles. This person will directly impact $140M in annual sales.
The PCE works in conjunction with Technical Management to support all engineering execution related activities across the portfolio. He or she is tasked with ensuring that the overall system designs are optimized to meet the required performance within the project cost and schedule constraints, as well as production execution milestones.
The PCE collaborates with the Program Chief Engineers to approve staffing demands and collaborates with Technical Management to ensure the functional organizations provide timely staffing supply with the appropriate skill mix. They will manage staffing needs as developed and provided by the program Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL) and Cost Account Managers (CAM) and approved through the Program Chief Engineer.
This role will require up to 25% travel with anticipated engagements with senior customers and mission partners.
Qualifications
Compensation: Base salary range is $180,000 - $225,000, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
Onsite work is preferred.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in airborne, space, missile, or land based electronic systems design, development, integration, test, qualification, and production.
- Extensive Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, or Integrated Product Team Lead experience at a US Government prime contractor or equivalent.
- Demonstrated prior success as technical and cost lead on major proposals.
- Experience briefing internally and externally at the senior executive level.
- Strong systems and design engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to establish a technical baseline with disciplined change management, while operating in a rapid development environment.
- Lead a highly multi-disciplinary team, requiring experience across all design engineering disciplines, as well as technical supplier management, business development, and program leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams in a matrix reporting organization.
- Provide both professional and technical team mentoring across a mix of cross-functional disciplines, staff backgrounds and experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and ability to effectively communicate with Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs), multi-disciplinary Engineering teams (Hardware, Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Radiation Effects, Logistics, etc.), Development and Specialty Engineers, Program Managers, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, lead, and execute root-cause and corrective-action (RCCA) efforts.
- Proven business acumen to review and approve business decisions, EACs, proposals, technical trades, and Gate Reviews.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance within one year of employment.
- Production and test experience.
- High Reliability Military Requirements Design experience.
- Government System Level Qualification experience.
- Development Program Transition to Production experience.
