Job Description
- Provide hands-on leadership for a team of contract specialists, ensuring the delivery of strategic contract solutions that align with company goals.
- Lead the evaluation of business opportunities, proposal development, contract negotiation, and management, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal standards, and customer requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, guiding program performance, mitigating risks, and influencing successful outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain, to drive results aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies to secure defense contracts, emphasizing innovative approaches that improve acquisition timelines and strengthen customer relationships.
- Lead program reviews, business strategy sessions, risk assessments, and contract-related activities to ensure successful program execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Advanced Degree preferred) with 6-10 years of relevant experience in contracts, proposals, or negotiations.
- Expertise in U.S. government contracting (FAR/DFAR), including complex international contracts and large-scale aerospace programs.
- Proven success in managing high-value Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts, Joint Ventures, and Offset Agreements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing terms and developing robust business cases.
- Leadership experience managing diverse, geographically dispersed teams, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with executive leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Cross-functional knowledge in Finance, Business Development, Program Management, or Supply Chain.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Juris Doctor (JD).
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret: SCI Poly Security Clearance.
- In-depth understanding of prime aerospace defense contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex contractual challenges creatively and strategically.
Additional Information
Compensation: Base pay range is $160,000 - $250,000 per hour depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA. There is potential for a remote hybrid work schedule once training is complete.
