Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including arrangements, logistics, and ceremonies.
- Provide bereavement support to families, guiding them through the planning process with empathy and professionalism.
- Prepare the deceased for viewing.
- Conduct consultations with families to discuss their needs and preferences for funeral services.
- Manage planning for memorial services, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in the preparation of the deceased.
- Handle sales of funeral products and services while maintaining ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to funeral services.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a respectful environment within the facility.
Requirements
- Valid Funeral Director license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize with grieving families.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to embalming processes.
- Time management skills as we are a very high volume funeral home.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
