Job Description
- Provide automated equipment support to internal and external customers, validating developmental solutions for custom automated options.
- Offer equipment application support for Sealed Air packaging equipment via phone, remote access, or field visits, conducting root-cause analysis to provide technical documentation for data-driven business decisions.
- Provide technical solutions to customers, vendors, field representatives, and the Innovation & Development organization through on-site support and facility visits.
- Evaluate new material and system designs through rigorous testing and an understanding of critical customer needs, working within a team environment to address real-world problems.
- Interfacing with machines through HMI's and setting parameters for equipment operations.
- Develop and lead factory acceptance tests to ensure requirements are met, manage installation start-ups, and provide field support for new equipment installations.
- Support Engineering equipment design and new technologies testing during development, as well as remote access installation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with machine design engineers to develop new packaging machines, add features to existing machines, and make upgrades to existing machines.
Responsibilities
- 30% travel domestically and internationally for customer-facing roles, such as equipment demonstrations, training, and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong self-motivation and problem-solving initiatives to collaborate with teams located in different locations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience creating data-driven reports, and ability to present concepts and ideas effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments, managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a work ethic corresponding to Sealed Air's core values.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on experience working with industrial equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics, understand various mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components.
- Experience designing and setting up prototype lab testing, managing data-driven reporting, and using SolidWorks.
