Seaman USD345 has an opening for an Assistant Boys Soccer Coach for the 2025-26 school year.
Position is responsible for coaching student athletes in competitive soccer techniques to prepare them for competition. Position helps motivate student-athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport of soccer. Candidate must have coaching experience and/or have competed in soccer.
Essential Duties:
1. Works in conjunction with the head coach during practices and matches.
2. Assist in organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages students to participate.
3. Assist in skill-related assessment and makes recommendations for team & individual positions.
4. Helps develop and organize practice time for both individual & team development.
5. Can potential assist in summer camps & pre-season conditioning prior to the season.
6. Works with the head coach and athletic director in all program related decisions.
7. Coaches players regarding the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
8. Observes players at practice & matches to provide input for individual & team improvement.
9. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior and provides supervision of athletes.
10. Helps monitor the academic performance to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
11. Follows established procedures in the event of an injury.
12. Communicates with the head coach regarding the performance of their student-athlete.
13. Follows KSHSAA regulations governing the athletic department.
14. Models sportsmanship and appropriate conduct towards athletes, coaches & officials.
15. Follows established procedures for supplies and uniforms.
16. Participates in activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights & special evetns.
17. Models nondiscriminatory behavior and in all activities.
