Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer, to join our team in Richmond, VA.
CLEARANCE
TS / SCI w / Full Scope Polygraph (existing clearance required to start)
LOCATION
Richmond, VA
OVERVIEW
Support a conferencing and training facility by developing, implementing, and maintaining systems
Perform engineering analysis, software and hardware / network development, integration, testing, and system maintenance
Work may occasionally require performance at heights, indoors and outdoors
Provide IT system performance analysis, requirements engineering, testing, and evaluation for system development, design, implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning
Deliver continuous lifecycle engineering services and support for advanced, complex technical projects
Utilize state-of-the-art technical production hardware and software applications to develop innovative solutions and ensure timely product delivery
Occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ensure compliance with approved system engineering methods and quality standards
Identify redundant capabilities, process gaps, and system risks, and provide mitigation strategies
Support LAN / network systems for internet-facing and internal systems to enable mission-essential training
Design, analyze, install, manage, and configure LAN and network systems, including internet-facing components
Provide network engineering services for audiovisual production control systems
Develop program formats for final outputs, capture and import data, and maintain documentation such as architecture diagrams, CONOPS plans, requirements, and test plans
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience designing, configuring, and optimizing WAN and LAN networks for mission-essential training
Proficiency in system engineering services for Windows environments
Background in building and maintaining LANs
Strong skills in diagnosing, analyzing, and testing system problems
Ability to create and maintain system documentation
Analytical and conceptual skills to develop original concepts and solutions
Experience networking LAN systems as well as internet-facing systems
Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Familiarity with interconnecting network systems
Expertise in managing network performance, capacity, security settings, and security approvals
Collaboration skills to work effectively in a team handling LAN and WAN installations
Knowledge of programming and troubleshooting Cisco network devices
Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware components such as network cards, memory, and hard drives
Experience working with software products, including operating systems, applications, and device drivers
Knowledge of designing and implementing wireless networks, including installation and programming
NICE TO HAVE
Familiarity with Sponsor policies and processes for decommissioning end-of-life hardware or software
Experience using design tools such as Visio
Understanding of the electrical and power needs of IT equipment
Background providing engineering support for production tools tailored to the Sponsor’s applications
Experience working with Extron and Shure systems
Knowledge of legacy equipment, modems, CSUs, and patch panels
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Customer-focused mindset with a strong service attitude
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining training facility systems
