Carpenter/Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. This position involves working on general building maintenance, as well as various construction projects, utilizing carpentry skills to build, install, and maintain structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all aspects of construction, including rough carpentry, finish carpentry, renovation and maintenance. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be able to jump from project to project as needed. Work will be done indoors and outdoors, in various conditions and at multiple locations.

Duties

• Construct and assemble building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
• Maintain walkways by removing snow and ice, and sanding as needed
• Assist in general building maintenance
• Install fixtures such as cabinets, countertops, and moldings with precision
• Apply caulking to seal joints and edges for weatherproofing purposes
• Perform general carpentry, repairs, and maintenance work
• Assist in construction, remodeling, and renovation projects
• Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications
• Resolve minor repair issues
• Ensure work sites are clean and safe
• Follow safety protocols and company guidelines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry
• Proficient in frame carpentry methods and practices
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
