SeamonWhiteside is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our growing Innovation team as a GIS Specialist in our Mount Pleasant, SC office.
The GIS Specialist is responsible for the management and analysis of geographic data to support ongoing SeamonWhiteside projects. This role will work across multiple teams to collect, interpret, and present findings in a way that can be useful for project advancement. The GIS Specialist will work closely with the Water Resources team, Innovation team, Survey team, and Civil Engineering teams.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Geographic Systems, Geography or related field.
Experience:
- 2 years’ experience management of GIS Systems.
- 2 years' experience creating tools and applications to troubleshoot and improve data analysis.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of ArcGIS systems (QGIS, PostGIS)
- Strong understanding of spatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, geodatabases, raster, vector.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills
- Experience working with Drones in the field
- Understanding of Pointcloud/ LIDAR systems
- Survey License desired not required
- High degree of accuracy with an attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality on behalf of our clients
- A valid driver's license
