Position Summary
SeamonWhiteside is in search of an ambitious and talented professional to serve as a Land Planner III in our growing Raleigh office.
SW is seeking a Land Planner III who is dedicated and passionate toward the pursuit of design excellence and professional growth. They enjoy collaboration and has a positive self-start attitude while possessing outstanding design skills.
The Land Planner III will project design in collaboration with the Team Leader in concept development and design features, formulate and assemble project deliverables under direction of the Project Manager along with preparing presentation packages, sketching schematic design, delegating, and managing drawings. The Land Planner III will also assist in the preparation of construction documents, design development details and drawings management.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
Key Responsibilities
- Attend pre-construction meetings and site visits with senior Construction Administration personnel or on your own
- Review and comment on shop drawings and material submittals on projects
- Evaluate and provide suggested solutions to problem solving and trouble shooting issues arising in the field
- Perform construction observations and field reports with ability to tackle more complex projects
- Demonstrate consistent achievement of SW billable goals
- Coordinate with outside consultants involved in the project (Surveyors, Traffic Consultants, Architects, Geotechnical Engineers, MEP Engineers, Wetland Consultants, etc.)
- Establish relationships with regulatory agencies
- Attend public agency meetings
- Self-perform QA/QC reviews on work and fully understand civil and landscape drawings
- Perform complete quantity take-offs and cost estimates of designs
- Address redline comments provided by agencies and senior engineering staff effectively
- Prepare comment response letters for agency resubmittals
- Preparation of construction details, specifications, and grading plans

- Strong understanding of SW file management and project organization
- Thorough knowledge of necessary permitting processes for projects across multiple different jurisdictions
- Improved client contact, time management, and organization skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple project tasks from multiple projects
- Working knowledge of DRB, SCDOT, TRC and other municipal submittal procedures and requirements
- Knowledge of drafting using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of agency regulations and design standards for specific projects across multiple jurisdictions
- Master planning proficiency with all land use types
- Developmental regional planning ability
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
