Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Counter Associate to be based in The Seaport. Reporting to the Director of QSR, the Counter Associate is responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our quick service restaurant guests. Operating at the forefront of transactions, you will play a key role in processing orders accurately, handling payments, and providing excellent service at the point of sale.
What You Will Do
Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they approach the counter.
Assist guests in making menu choices, providing information about items, and answering inquiries.
Take guests orders accurately, inputting details into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system promptly.
Ensure precision in recording guest preferences, modifications, and special requests.
Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely order fulfillment.
Process guest payments, handling cash transactions accurately and providing change and receipts.
Operate the cash register and POS system proficiently.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
Ensure a clean and organized counter area, contributing to a pleasant dining environment.
Monitor and replenish counter supplies, including condiments, napkins, and utensils, to meet guest needs.
Collaborate with the kitchen and support staff to maintain adequate stock levels.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining cleanliness in the serving area and practicing proper sanitation procedures.
Follow established handwashing and hygiene protocols.
Perform all other tasks as duties as assigned and/or per business need.
About You
Previous experience in a quick-service restaurant setting is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment, handling multiple tasks.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Climbing steps regularly.
Compensation: $16.50 per hour
