About The Role:
The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in driving Seaport Entertainment Group's growth and success. Working as part of the FP&A team, you will drive strategic, actionable insights to support business decisions across our hospitality, entertainment, and leasing segments of the business.
What You Will Do
Assist in the production of departmental P&L reporting packages, with a focus on analyzing operational performance, including against budget and prior year results.
Maintain a catalog of management reports which track KPIs on a daily to quarterly basis.
Assist with ad hoc reporting for cross-functional initiatives to drive revenue and/or reduce costs, including the evaluation of capital projects, special events, and changes in operations.
Assist in the budget and forecast processes.
Develop financial models to support findings where necessary, utilizing sensitivity and trend analysis.
Maintain databases in Excel and PowerBI for key financial and non-financial information.
Support the FP&A team with other tasks as they arise.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role
Strong business and financial acumen with an aptitude for analyzing data to assess financial performance and identify business opportunities.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes (double-entry accounting, revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliation, financial statements).
Ability to problem solve, show initiative, and learn concepts quickly.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in Microsoft D365, PowerBI, and Tripleseat a plus
Attention to detail – being able to accurately reconcile financial information is essential.
Curiosity in understanding our complex business, and how the different parts interact.
Ability to make qualified estimates and judgements.
Compensation range: $73,000 – $ 100,000
