About the job A Darien, CT based private credit fund, a subsidiary of Seaport Global, seeks an entry level/junior Analyst to help underwrite and manage a portfolio of asset-based loans. The fund, focused on asset-based and special situation lending, lends to specialty finance companies, operators of big-ticket equipment and against esoteric assets. The Analyst position is full-time in the office and is suitable for a recent graduate. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in finance, math, accounting, economics, business, or another quantitative field; a second major or a minor in a critical thinking discipline is a plus. This position requires motivation, technical skills, problem solving, and the ability to conduct data analysis. Responsibilities Collateral monitoring for a portfolio of loans Preparing reports about credit risk exposure to borrowers Analyzing historical loan level performance data Staying current on market trends with ongoing research Securitization and other quantitative modeling Drafting investment committee memoranda Qualifications Experience in data analysis, risk analysis, credit analysis, loan underwriting, consumer lending or similar Acute attention to detail and impeccable judgment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both collaboratively and independently Knowledge of ABS and/or MBS, MS Excel, VBA and any database software a plus If you meet the above criteria and are proactive, resourceful and have a positive attitude with the desire to learn, please apply via our Careers page.
