What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lounge Server Tamo Part Time/On Call PM position at Seaport Hotel?

Scope of Position
A calm and pleasant demeanor while serving beverages during peak hours in the lobby bar and lounge will contribute to the Hotel’s overall perception of quality. You will also assist in the seating of guests during peak periods. Your attentiveness, ability to anticipate, and diplomatic suggestions of beverage and food choices will satisfy guest needs and develop repeat business.
Schedule Requirement
Schedule will vary; working weekends, nights and holidays will be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Seek to warmly greet guests and engage in active communication in providing beverage and food service.
2. Responsible for self cashiering and balancing income for each shift worked and in accordance to established cash handling policy.
3. Support bartenders and maintain cleanliness in bar and lounge area.
4. Proactively merchandise food and beverage menu items for increased sales and customer satisfaction
5. Be knowledgeable of repeat guest preferences around food and beverage items.
6. Be aware of in-house groups and VIP guests. Carry daily events summary for reference
7. Assist guests in finding appropriate seating in Tamo bar and lounge.
8. Replenish beverages as requested, frequently checking guest satisfaction level.
9. Present guest with check and thank them for their business.
10. Responsible for practicing, managing, and promoting our Mission and Values so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation.
11. Completes any duties or projects assigned by the Management.

Qualifications
Experience:
- Previous beverage service in a location with fine service standards.
- High school diploma required or preferred.
- Tips and CPR/Heimlich certified preferred but will provide training.
- Fluency of the English language is required (read, write, speak)
- Must be able to listen to, read and/or write instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages.
