Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of service within the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Provide information about menu items and specials, assisting guests with their selections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Answer phone calls promptly with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, striving for excellent guest relations.
- Assist in training new host/host staff as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest services.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings is a plus but not required.
