Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced, scalable, and secure GCP cloud architectures aligned with business goals.
- Create comprehensive architectural blueprints for GCP-based solutions, including compute, storage, networking, security, and data services.
- Define the technical vision, embracing cloud-native application design, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes / GKE), and multi-cloud strategies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and project stakeholders to articulate cloud strategies and long-term roadmaps.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for GCP, enhancing adoption of cloud services alongside innovative technologies such as AI / ML, serverless computing, and data analytics.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams, promoting best practices in DevOps, CI / CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, seamlessly integrating on-premise systems with GCP services like BigQuery, Anthos, Pub / Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Establish and enforce best practices for GCP security, addressing IAM, data encryption, VPC Service Controls, and zero-trust networking.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA as applicable.
- Conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancements.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in cloud technology and proactively propose innovative solutions.
- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to explore and validate novel GCP services and features.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI / ML and data-driven solutions into enterprise architecture.
Qualifications
Your educational background matters less than your experience and skills, but a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred, with an MBA being a plus. Current Google Cloud Certifications will be embraced, especially the Professional Cloud Architect.
