Community Education Trainer Needed
Pay: $23.50/HR
Location: Evanston & Chicago
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM (Flexibility for some evenings and weekends)
Are you excited to help teach others and make a difference in your community? We’re looking for someone energetic and passionate to lead workshops and Disability Awareness Trainings. Help us spread knowledge and create positive change!
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Disability Awareness Trainings and Hop on the Bus Workshops for schools, companies, and nonprofits.
- Organize transportation plans for participants attending the workshops.
- Help promote workshops to reach community members and support our program goals.
- Coordinate events and outreach for ComEd Energy Force Ambassadors.
- Build relationships with community organizations and partners to grow our training programs.
- Recruit and provide training to new team members for our Disability Awareness Players.
- Track attendance and outcomes of workshops to measure success.
- Support marketing and social media efforts for training programs.
- Help with other tasks to make sure the program runs smoothly.
What You’ll Need:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Great communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 44 lbs. and perform movements like bending and reaching.
- A valid driver’s license, a reliable car, and proof of insurance.
- Willingness to drive larger vehicles (training provided).
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification (training provided).
