Pay: $23.50/HR | Location: Evanston & Chicago
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM (Flexibility required for training & transportation needs, including some evenings & weekends)
Join our team and make a difference! Were looking for a passionate, energetic individual to lead Disability Awareness Trainings and workshops across the community, helping to create meaningful change!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of our signature Disability Awareness Trainings and Hop on the Bus Workshops to corporate organizations, educational institutions and nonprofits within the community.
- Coordinate and oversee transportation logistics for participants attending Disability Awareness Trainings.
- Support outreach initiatives for promoting Disability Awareness Trainings and Hop on the Bus Workshops to meet revenue goals.
- Manage ComEd Energy Force Ambassador events and outreach.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, organizations and stakeholders to enhance training program reach and effectiveness.
- Assist with recruitment of new Disability Awareness Players.
- Oversee the ongoing professional development and training of Disability Awareness Players.
- Track and report on training outcomes, attendance and participant engagement to measure success and inform future planning.
- Contribute to marketing and social media strategies related to the training programs.
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with the execution and management of trainings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of Search Community Education initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years working with people with I/DD preferred.
- Strong administrative, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs. and perform basic physical moves such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting.
- Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle, and proof of vehicle insurance.
- Ability to become a certified Direct Support Professional. We provide the training and certification process.
- The willingness to be certified to drive 10-16 passenger vehicles is required. We provide the training and certification process.
- Maintain Pace certification and good standing on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry, including CPR and First Aid requirements.
- The ability to obtain CPR & First Aid training which we provide annually.
- Flexibility to work some weekday evenings and occasional weekends
