Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the daily manufacturing operations of a packaged gas production facility. This role carries full P&L responsibility and will lead activities related to production planning, inventory management, materials coordination, maintenance, and facility operations. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, forward-thinking, and skilled at problem-solving and communication.
- Drive operational efficiency by aligning production plans with business objectives and financial targets.
- Oversee and improve financial performance through cost optimization, process improvements, and quality initiatives.
- Develop manufacturing strategies and production schedules to reduce overhead while maintaining output.
- Provide leadership to plant operations, ensuring customer expectations for quality, delivery, and cost competitiveness are met or exceeded.
- Manage labor resources and material procurement to fulfill production commitments.
- Partner with finance to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with annual operating plans.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5 years of experience in a related role, preferably in a heavy industrial setting.
- Prior experience managing a manufacturing facility.
- Proven track record in P&L management.
- Familiarity with KPIs tied to Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP).
- Hands-on experience with scheduling, inventory control, plant layout, and material flow.
- Background in welding, fabrication, or engineer-to-order environments.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of building teams and driving operational improvements.
- Ability to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for business correspondence and reporting.

Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
