Project Accountant - Construction Development- Hybrid role!
Our client is an established leader in Construction and Development with a reputation of bringing beautiful projects to life for more than 25 years. This is an in office role as part of a terrific culture with exceptional employee retention.
In this role created by internal growth you will work with the senior Controller and CFO as Senior Project Accountant.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Construction Project accounting experience is a must
- payment application process, AIA billing, release of liens, draws to owners, accounts payable and receivable, monthly closing and balance sheets, subcontractor insurance and agreements, vendor payments and monthly bank reconciliation.
- Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
- Preparing financial statements
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
- Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
- Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
- Supervising accounting staff
Requirements and Qualifications
- 4 years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience is preferred
- CPA preferred
