Reimbursement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reimbursement Specialist to join our Houston-based medical device client’s revenue cycle team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing insurance claim denials, supporting patients with inquiries regarding their cardiac diagnostic services, and ensuring accurate data entry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and have a strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and accurately upload denied insurance correspondences for diagnostic service claims.
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries and resolving concerns related to insurance claims.
• Perform data entry tasks efficiently and accurately to maintain up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of claims and effective communication with insurance providers.
• Answer incoming calls, offering clear and compassionate assistance to both patients and insurance representatives.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle role, with a focus on data entry and customer service.
• Strong understanding of medical billing, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficiency in using medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• HIPAA: 1 year (Required)
• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical coding: 1 year (Required)
• Medical records: 1 year (Required)
