Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The Software Engineering Associate will support the development of Quantum’s internal digital platform and internal applications. The associate will assist in the maintenance of existing code and the development of new features, contributing throughout the full software development cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering, coding, testing, and releasing. The associate will gain experience in full stack development within the Microsoft Azure Ecosystem under supervision of a Senior Software Engineer. The Associate will learn new skills or grow existing skills related to data engineering, database development, application development and cloud first infrastructure deployment and monitoring. The Associate will work on multiple software projects developing a variety of applications that support Quantum’s internal digital transformation. In this role the associate will gain exposure to modern data intelligence platforms such as Databricks and will work with team members who specialize in machine learning and generative AI.

Experience and Abilities:
- A recent graduate with a full-stack related college project or 1 year(s) of experience in software engineering. Graduates who have acquired full-stack development skills through a recognized online boot camp program may also be considered.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to deal with a path forward that is not always well-defined.
- A passion for data analytics and a desire to gain exposure to AI concepts and code frameworks.
- Languages: One or more of C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python.
- Web frameworks: One or more Single Page Application framework (Angular preferred).
- Experience with databases (MongoDB or PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with Git.
- Experience deploying applications on one or more cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred).
- Experience with software development tools (Visual Studio code preferred)
