What are the responsibilities and job description for the Techno-Functional HCM Analyst position at Search Services?
We are seeking a Techno-Functional Workday Analyst with strong expertise in HR modules, including Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, and Talent. The ideal candidate will also bring working knowledge of Workday Financials, making them a cross-functional asset across HR and Finance domains. You will be responsible for system configuration, reporting, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Workday to support organizational goals, especially in a fast-paced, compliance-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday HCM Module Leadership
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Workday HR modules including Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Talent, and potentially Benefits.
- Configure and optimize Workday business processes, eligibility rules, condition logic, and security settings to meet evolving HR needs.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support People team initiatives and compliance reporting.
- Act as a liaison between HR and IT to gather requirements, implement improvements, and manage data accuracy and integrity.
Cross-Functional and Technical Support
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and Workday configurations.
- Support EIBs, calculated fields, integrations, and data loads between Workday and external systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues, escalate as needed, and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with IT or third-party vendors.
- Assist with Workday release management and regression testing.
Finance Module Support (Preferred)
- Provide basic support or collaborate with Finance counterparts on modules such as Expenses, Procurement, and Financial Accounting.
- Participate in cross-functional projects where HR and Finance processes intersect (e.g., payroll integration, headcount forecasting).
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
- Collaborate with HR leadership, payroll, legal/compliance, and external consultants to drive enhancements and ensure best practices.
- Document processes, configurations, and SOPs; provide training and support to system users.
- Evaluate and support third-party integrations and services related to Workday HR modules.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3–5 years of Workday HCM experience with hands-on configuration and support across multiple modules.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, workflows, and compliance standards.
- Experience designing and building Workday reports, dashboards, and business processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently across teams.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Workday Financials or previous collaboration with finance teams.
- Experience in a government contractor or high-compliance environment.
- Workday certification(s) in HCM or Reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field.
Salary : $130,000 - $145,000
