Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a Buyer / Planner on behalf of our client, a company that manufactures parts and accessories for outdoor recreation. The Buyer / Planner is responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, maintaining required inventory, and ensuring supplier quality. This role is vital to ensuring that production schedules are met, and inventory is managed efficiently to support operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support operations by procuring materials needed for production.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
- Place purchase orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Work directly with APAC facilities to issue purchase orders that drive production scheduling.
- Coordinate direct shipments from APAC facilities to customers.
- Create and track purchase orders (POs), ensuring timely arrival of materials.
- Follow up with vendors if orders have not arrived on time and determine when new orders need to be placed.
- Maintain records by attaching necessary documents to POs and ensuring proper receipt of samples to facilitate invoice payments.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely product deliveries and obtain ETAs for delayed shipments.
