Job Summary

The Director of Talent Management is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent across the organization. This role oversees talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development initiatives. The Director collaborates with senior leadership to ensure that the organization’s talent strategy aligns with its business goals and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee strategic recruiting and hiring processes to attract high-performing candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and create job descriptions that align with business goals.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Oversee leadership development initiatives to prepare future leaders for critical roles.
  • Lead the performance management process, ensuring fair and consistent evaluations across the organization.
  • Develop tools and resources to help managers provide constructive feedback and set performance goals.
  • Create and maintain a robust succession planning framework to identify and develop internal talent for key positions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to evaluate and address potential talent gaps.
  • Integrate DEI principles into talent management strategies and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity through training, programs, and equitable talent practices.
  • Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategies to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Use data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of talent management programs.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership and recommend improvements.
  • Manage the talent management budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience : 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in talent management or leadership development roles.
  • Certifications : PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Skills :
  • Strong understanding of talent management practices, including recruitment, development, and retention.
  • Proficiency in HR technology and talent management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Key Competencies

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align talent initiatives with business objectives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in coaching, mentoring, and developing employees at all levels.
  • Work Environment

  • This is a senior leadership position, typically working in an office environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for conferences, training, or multi-site collaboration.
