Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager on behalf of our client, a company specializing in the development, production, and distribution of high-quality plastic laboratory products. This role is vital to the organization's financial health and success, as the Financial Accounting Manager will lead the financial accounting processes, including monthly and annual financial statement preparation, audit support, and tax management. The position also plays a key leadership role in improving global financial accounting practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing a team of accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP / IFRS.
- Reconcile financial statements from local GAAP to IFRS.
- Lead the audit process for the annual financial statements in collaboration with external auditors.
- Assist with tax-related matters (including VAT, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing), including preparing tax returns with external tax advisors and global tax department.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Concur, Financial, and Management Accounting.
- Drive improvements in global financial accounting policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company capital assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of accounting professionals, ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting and ownership of monthly close activities.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and reporting in collaboration with controlling and engineering teams.
- Review intercompany postings for accuracy and completeness during month-end submissions.
- Ensure proper training, resources, and updated SOPs for critical tasks, maintaining centralized documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in working capital, cost control, cost avoidance initiatives, and operational efficiency.
- Support senior management and strategic teams in making informed business decisions, ensuring high levels of accounting integrity.
- Continuously drive business excellence by improving internal controls, digitization, and overall efficiency.
- Actively challenge legacy processes to improve performance and efficiency.
