Senior Pricing Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst with a background in quantitative analytics, a demonstrated ability to problem solve, and experience managing both internal teams and third-party vendors.

This position represents an opportunity to join a new, growing company, and a small team in building and shaping the company from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and valuation analysis around current and new policies, products and markets.
• Performing data mining and actual to expected analysis to assess accuracy of firm level assumptions around mortality, persistency, and anti-selection.
• Reporting of Life Settlement Portfolio performance for institutional investors.
• Development and maintenance of actuarial models for valuing and assessing risks associated with Life Settlements and other mortality linked assets.
• Developing asset investment strategies and bid proposals to maximize competitiveness in acquiring new assets.
• Support efforts to optimize capital structure; and Support diligence requirements on transaction opportunities

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in Finance, Insurance or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, actuarial science or related field
• Proven commercial acumen.
• Ability to process and synthesize data to present conclusions in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to adapt to change and handle unique opportunities
• Ability to multi-task and operate within tight timelines
• Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills, with an ability to think clearly and laterally
• Strong written communication skills for both internal communication of proposals and business decision-making more generally, and for interactions with external counterparties
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and VBA skills
• Working knowledge of SQL database querying and data management
