Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a Transportation Coordinator on behalf of our client, a company dedicated to providing healthier food options for children in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing transportation shipments, ensuring on-time delivery, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external partners. You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth and efficient transportation operations, contributing to the overall success of the company's mission.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and execute outbound, inbound, and transfer shipments.
- Create loads in the Transportation Management System (TMS) and assign them to carriers based on routing guides.
- Execute load tenders and confirm bookings with carriers.
- Send pre-trip notifications to relevant parties.
- Confirm and secure pickup and delivery appointments.
- Update shipment information in the TMS and ERP (Business Central) systems.
- Manage reverse logistics and handle failed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate data in the TMS.
- Track and monitor shipment status to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain an on-time delivery log and communicate with key accounts regarding delivery schedules.
- Proactively communicate with customers regarding any potential delays.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with Account Service Coordinators to ensure data consistency across systems.
