Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our client, a leading company specializing in engineered elastomeric solutions within the rubber industry. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring peak efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role involves supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees, setting and managing operational goals, and coordinating inventory and shipments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and manage warehouse employees to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement operational goals and performance targets, monitoring progress to meet short- and long-term objectives.
- Train and mentor the warehouse team to enhance skills and resolve operational issues.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper inventory organization following the FIFO (First In, First Out) process.
- Gain expert knowledge of warehouse processes and equipment, maintaining operational excellence.
- Actively manage inventory, including receiving and processing incoming materials, and organizing stock for easy retrieval.
- Reinforce a sense of urgency, particularly during downtime, and effectively communicate issues to management.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Operate stock management tools, such as forklifts, to handle inventory.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and BarTender for inventory tracking and management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
