We are hiring for a MEP, Electrical Designer to join our team!
Summary: Electrical Designer to Design and Draft Electrical Systems for hotels, apartments, condominiums, single family estate homes, theaters, shopping centers, restaurants, retail stores, schools, offices, hospitals, libraries, museums and general commercial construction across the US with projects in Southern California, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida, Indiana and more.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and drafting electrical systems
- Calculating loads, performing short circuit studies and energy analysis
- Designing lighting, power and low voltage systems
- Selecting and specifying electrical equipment
- Laying out and sizing distribution systems
- Coordinating with building departments, clients and other project team members
- Reviewing contractor s equipment submittals and RFI s
- Making field observations and reporting Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in a related field required, AEBT accredited BSEE preferred
- 3-7 years experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings required
- Excellent AutoCAD skills required, Revit skills preferred
- Proficient in the use of Energy Pro; Easy Power and other industry standard electrical engineering software required
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal required
