What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/R Supervisor position at Search Specialist - Manufacturing?
As we merge our manufacturing facilities and establish new offices in the greater Naperville area, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Professional to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth financial operations during this transition and beyond.
The ideal candidate will have a strong Accounts Receivable background in manufacuturing with proven ability to prioritize deliverables, anticipate challenges, and implement structured processes to drive efficiency and support growth. Key areas of focus include:
Process incoming billing, invoices and post daily deposits
- Communicate w/ clients about billing discrepancies & questions
- Initiate collections/company procedure on past-due accounts
- Create and maintain accounting ledgers and log sheets
- Ensure ledger (receivable payments) are properly posted
- Customer service oriented able to identify/negotiate opportunities
Monitor financial transactions, invoices, statements, deposits
- Verify, classify, post & record accounts receivables data
- Generate financial statements, reports, spreadsheets detailing status
- Prepare bills, payment terms, and company deposits in software
- Work with treasury, borrowing base, basic accounting principles
- Calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
7 years AR clerk experience in a manufacturing or services env.,
- 5 yrs working in a $100 million manufacturing or services env.,
- 5 yrs working w/ accounting principles, collections, fair practice reg.,
- Experience working with SAP or similar accounting software (a plus)
- Experienced with collections or collections services (a plus)
- Experience providing detail structure & the ability to dig in at every level
- Bachelor’s Degree (highly desirable)
- Naperville Local – Ability to drive into the office, with some remote
