Senior Scheduler – Defense
Overview
A well-established company specializing in radio frequency (RF) technologies and advanced engineering solutions is seeking a Senior Scheduler to support its expanding operations. With a strong history of innovation, this organization serves a broad range of industries, including commercial, defense, and aerospace sectors.
The Senior Scheduler will play a key role in creating, maintaining, and analyzing Integrated Master Plans (IMPs) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to ensure efficient program execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage integrated project schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and timely program completion.
- Distribute scheduling data and facilitate project planning efforts to align schedules with operational goals.
- Perform routine schedule updates and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reliable performance metrics.
- Conduct risk assessments and critical path analyses, identifying and resolving scheduling challenges.
- Generate reports and presentations for leadership, including visual scheduling tools like Gantt charts, PERT charts, earned value metrics, and other key performance indicators.
- Support program managers in evaluating schedule performance, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field with 5-7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, OR 10-12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Background in finance, program management, or project scheduling, preferably within the defense or aerospace sector.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools (e.g., Costpoint).
- Expertise in project scheduling methodologies, with preference for candidates holding PMI-PMP or PMI-SP certifications.
- Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance required.
