Skin Integrity-RN/LPN

Here is an exceptional chance to make a real difference with a premier healthcare organization. We are currently seeking a Skin Integrity Nurse. This position has the responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation of wound care, and would provide direct patient care and education to assigned patients.

Location: Brunswick, GA

The Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):

• Develop and ensure the wound care plan specific for each patient in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
• Provide wound care as per protocol and assess bandage integrity during the times between dressing changes

• Stocking the treatment cart on an as-needed basis to ensure all supplies that are needed are available
• Assess and measure all wounds weekly and complete proper documentation
• Communicate with the attending physician the pertinent information to the individual resident needs and/or changes in wound status
• Will educate staff in individual and group settings regarding skin and wound care
• Timely and accurate documentation
• Provide hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds

The Requirements:

• Valid and active Georgia nursing license which is in good standing
• One year of experience in a long-term care facility
• 1 year wound care experience
• Wound care certification preferred but not required
• Must be detailed oriented and organized
• Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive, caring and customer-service-oriented attitude
• Ability to meet all health requirements, including a drug screen.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
