Sears Imported Autos Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a full-time Mercedes-Benz Parts Counterperson. Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and take orders for all retail and wholesale customers.
- Provide service technicians with parts and part estimates needed for service repair orders.
- Receipt daily stock and overnight orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review body and repair shop estimates/orders to ensure correct parts and pricing.
- Pull orders for delivery to off-site Sears body shop, ensuring accurate customer names and job numbers.
- Pull wholesale orders for delivery to repair and body shops, accurately billing and issuing correct quantities.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials needing immediate attention.
- Replenish assigned inventory daily, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain orderly records of repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
- Keep workspace and parts counter areas clean and organized.
- Participate in and complete all quarterly training programs.
- Stay updated on new products and product updates.
- Assist parts manager in maintaining a lost sale tracking program.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED. Vocational Technical schooling in automotive mechanics is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of Parts Counter experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a dealership parts department is a plus.
- Familiarity with DMS, Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
