FUNCTION
The primary function of the Master Scheduler is to lead the development of short-, medium-, and long-term production schedules for respective areas of responsibility. Manages a small team of schedulers whose focus is immediate-term tactical schedule management. Serves as primary point of contact for customers for all issues related to Order Fulfillment from order entry through shipping execution and manages orders consistent with defined order management policy. Prepares and presents weekly / monthly status reports, metrics, to applicable cross-functional stakeholders.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Develop production schedules for 12-month horizon taking into consideration all demand signals, defined inventory parameters, capacity constraints, and Order Fulfillment Strategy defined objectives.
- Responsible for complete people leadership of Schedulers whose focus is immediate term daily schedule typically through 10-day frozen schedule horizon.
- Present schedule and performance related measurements to applicable Operations Management and other cross-functional stakeholders on recurring (minimum monthly) basis. Assist in preparation of Quarterly Executive Sales & Operations Planning material.
- Understand and make recommendations as needed to system order management / scheduling parameters that affect ability to execute (e.g., cycle times, safety stock parameters, order management policy windows or flex percentages, etc.).
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers for all matters pertaining to Order Fulfillment ranging from order entry to ship consistently demonstrating professionalism and a strong customer focus. Enter orders as needed where EDI or other automation capabilities do not yet exist.

- Moderate - Strong capabilities in core Microsoft products, most importantly Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and ability to maintain applicable fields accurately.
- Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a build-to-order manufacturing scheduling or related function, OR,
- Successful completion of an associates (2 yr) or bachelor’s (4 yr) degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field AND 1 – 3 years’ experience in a build-to-order manufacturing scheduling or related function.
