Searstone Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate and skilled Memory Care Nurses to join our team. As a Memory Care Nurse, you will provide direct care and support to residents in our memory care unit, ensuring they receive the highest level of care in a supportive, dignified environment.
Available Shift:
1st Shift- Part-time
2nd Shift- Full-time
2nd Shift- Part-time
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to residents in the memory care unit, addressing both their physical and emotional needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Regularly assess residents’ conditions, including physical health, behavior, and cognitive function.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and care teams to develop and update personalized care plans for each resident.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Support families in navigating the challenges of memory care, offering guidance and emotional support.
- Assist in facilitating memory-stimulation activities that promote cognitive engagement.
- Provide comfort and dignity during end-of-life care, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current license in [State].
- Experience in memory care, geriatric nursing, or similar healthcare environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and dementia care best practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with families and healthcare teams.
- Ability to remain calm and empathetic in stressful situations.
- CPR/First Aid certification required.
