About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic budtenders who lead by example and have a true passion for people and cannabis. The ideal candidate for this role has a background in customer service at a seasonal retail store, and some working knowledge of the Massachusetts retail cannabis industry including but not limited to;

• State regulations
• Consumer trends and education
• Popular brands / product categories
• Local relationships.

When on duty, a budtender would be responsible for;

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons
• Maintaining a positive work environment for all colleagues and patrons at all times
• Assist customers in selecting the right cannabis products based on their needs and preferences
• Educate customers on different strains, products, and consumption methods
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash register
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are properly stocked and displayed
• Upsell additional products or accessories to enhance the customer's experience
• Adhere to all state regulations and company policies regarding the sale of marijuana products
• Follow proper safety and security procedures at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cash handling and customer service is preferred
• Knowledge of marijuana strains, products, and consumption methods is a plus
• Experience in retail sales, particularly in electronics or jewelry, is beneficial
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse customers
• Excellent upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using a cash register and POS system
• Demonstrated time management skills to ensure efficient operations
• Ability to pass a CORI background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
