As a Paid Parking Ambassador you will play a vital role in ensuring positive experiences for visitors by assisting parking facilities and providing exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patrons with parking needs, enforce regulations, and contribute to the overall flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information about parking locations, rates, and relevant policies.
Traffic Management:
Direct vehicles to available parking spaces efficiently.
Monitor and control traffic flow to prevent congestion.
Enforcement:
Ensure compliance with parking regulations and issue citations when necessary.
Monitor parking permits and address unauthorized parking.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve customer concerns or disputes in a courteous manner.
Collaborate with local authorities for escalated issues.
Maintenance:
Report and document any maintenance or safety issues related to parking facilities.
Assist in basic maintenance tasks as needed.
Communication:
Maintain effective communication with team members and superiors.
Provide feedback on operational improvements. Stay knowledgeable about current activities and events in Seaside, by communicating with our Courtesy Team and Director of Arts and Entertainment, to be able to share information with guests when asked.
Blocking Assignments:
Execute blocking assignments as directed by superiors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
Basic knowledge of parking regulations and traffic management.
Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience in a customer service role.
Familiarity with relevant software for ticketing or permit tracking.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather
conditions.
