We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to join our team as a permanent full-time Shipping & Receiving Associate. You must be a self-starter, handy, reliable, and willing to work independently as well as within a team. The individual in this role will ship and receive product with detail, accuracy, and swiftness. The position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Shipping and Receiving departments to ensure the completion of operational activities and the accuracy of all parcel shipments from the Vista, CA warehouse to all subsidiaries. It involves managing cargo documentation, invoices, and incoming shipments, ensuring that they are accurate and compliant with the relevant customs procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete all Documents needed for orders to be shipped
- Complete the parcel shipping labels and commercial invoice for all orders
- Communicate and resolve any issues relating to shipments
- Control on shipping inventory
- Receive all incoming shipments according to company procedures
- Get LTL shipping rates, prepare bill of lading for shipments, schedule pickups for shipments.
- Receive all incoming shipments
- Keep control of all shipping inventory
Desired Skills & Experience
- Microsoft Office experience – Outlook, Excel & Word
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Experience with FedEx, UPS and other shipping carriers
- Experience with warehouse or shipping practices
- Attention to detail
- General Warehousing experience
