Talent Assessment & Selection Internship

Position Summary:

This internship offers valuable exposure to the talent assessment and selection process, allowing you to hone your interviewing skills while developing leadership competencies in a dynamic environment. As an intern, you'll play an integral role in evaluating top candidates, providing feedback, and contributing to key hiring decisions. This opportunity is perfect for those interested in a career in human resources or talent management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in various stages of the recruitment process, including scheduling and coordinating interviews, conducting initial candidate screenings, and providing actionable feedback to hiring teams.
  • Draft and send offer letters to selected candidates, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience.
  • Support the team in identifying top talent by assisting in creating and reviewing job descriptions and candidate profiles.


Additional Support:

  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of candidate information.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements within talent assessment and selection.


Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience is an asset
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule specifically between Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM EST to accommodate interview scheduling.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building relationships and connecting with people.
  • Detail-oriented, with a high level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn new software tools.

Duration and Compensation:

  • Duration: 5 months (start and end dates are flexible). - 15 hours per week
  • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, but it offers an invaluable learning experience.

  • Develop practical interviewing techniques and gain firsthand experience in evaluating candidates for diverse roles.
  • Learn to manage recruitment processes, engage with teams, and take initiative in a professional setting.
  • Understand the various stages of talent management, from recruiting to onboarding, within a real-world context.
  • Improve your ability to interact with diverse teams and candidates, refining your communication style and professional presence.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of HR operations and best practices in talent assessment, helping to lay the groundwork for a career in human resources.

Work Environment:

  • This is a remote internship position. Interns work from their own home offices across the globe.
  • A computer, tablet, or mobile device with an internet connection is required to perform tasks, attend virtual meetings, and collaborate with team members.
  • Interns are expected to commit at least 15 hours per week and meet weekly deadlines set by their supervisors, ensuring a productive and rewarding internship experience.

We prefer to have our local interns work in person at the office in Gloucester, and we also invite interns from all over the United States and internationally to apply. Seaside Sustainability provides interns with real and meaningful work, and internships are available in any season with flexible time schedules.
