What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Controls Engineer position at Seasoned Recruiter?
Travel:- 99% of projects are in the North Boston area, but must have the flexibility to travel up to 25% out of state, could also include long term out of state travel as needed based on project.
Must have:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineer or Computer Science
- 10 Years process automation experience
- Minimum of 5 years of process automation experience in the Life Sciences industry in liquid and/or powder facilities/companies
- Leadership capacity with Batch S88 experience is required (small molecule - fluids, powders)
- Work is mainly done in North Boston
- Ignition

- Strong communication of interacting with client facing skills, and team collaboration
- Relevant regulatory requirements of the life science industry such as cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.
- Proven experience with all phases of automation projects including conceptual, basis of design, implementation, testing, start-up and commissioning of Process Control System (PCS), SCADA, and DCS, with 5 years in Life Science industry
- GAMP5, System and Software Development Life Cycles methodologies, validation
- Relational databases such as SQL, Oracle
- Automation protocols such as HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Traditional I/O, Profibus, Ethernet I/P, OPC, Modbus TCP/IP, etc.
- Local candidate preferred, relo is a LAST resort.
- Growth would be principal engineer, or create a new business unit at the corporate level.
Nice to have:
- Client interaction with strong communication skills.
- AutoCAD
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, including power distribution under 480VAC, control panels, and associated NEC references
