As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and food items while providing exceptional customer service. You will create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring that each visit is enjoyable and memorable.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in compliance with food safety standards.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations, answer questions about menu items, and handle any concerns or feedback.
- Manage inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and assisting with inventory counts.
- Ensure adherence to food handling guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while effectively managing time.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a barista or food service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
