Opportunity: Custodian
Seastrom Manufacturing is seeking a self-starting, detail-oriented and sanitation-savvy Custodian who takes pride in a clean and well-maintained environment. The Custodian will clean buildings and remove debris to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash receptacles. Also responsible for building and maintaining relationships in a team environment modeling professionalism, interpersonal skills, problem solving, adaptability, and personal value commitment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Adhere to cleaning schedule.
- Wipe down and disinfect all toilets, urinals, stalls, counters, and doors.
- Clean and service restrooms, stock paper supplies, and clean floors and walls.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash and recycle bins as directed by the cleaning schedule.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, office machines, and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Notify managers concerning the need for repairs.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, and chairs to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must meet “US Person” criteria per ITAR compliance regulations.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language with comprehension skills sufficient to understand safety standards and job performance expectations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
- Ability to interpret instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or grab; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch and reach. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
