Seaton Paving & Sitework Inc is seeking an experienced self-motivated Asphalt Paving Lead to help run our asphalt crew. The Asphalt Paving lead is pivotal in overseeing our projects from start to finish. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence and MUST Have Experience in Asphalt Paving. This position is not an entry level position!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
- Knowledge of and ability to operate paving equipment (Example: Pavers, Rollers, Broom Tractor, Lute and Tack Truck). Must be an experienced Asphalt Paving Operator.
- Can Do Attitude and good work ethic.
- Assist in scheduling of field activities, subcontractors and crew members.
- Inspect work performed to ensure it meets specifications and is on schedule.
- Will direct and supervise the activities of the crew in the performance of their regular duties.
- Assist with analyzing construction equipment needs and trucking requirements.
- Maintain daily records of all significant project facts, crew timesheets, events and conditions.
- Assist with the instruction and training of employees and ensure the safety of the workers.
- Supervises all phases of a paving operation such as maintenance of equipment, employees, and distribution of product.
- Will aid crew in implementing environmental, health and safety regulations and policies (local, state and government).
- Responsible for maintaining equipment.
- Must have a basic knowledge of abilities and limitations in all paving applications.
- Ability to recognize potential problems before breakdowns occur.
- Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
- Must have the ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
Experience in roadway and site construction.
- Knowledge of traffic control standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to company’s safety program and practices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license.
- 5 years’ experience in Asphalt Paving.
