What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biomedical Equipment Technician II position at Seattle Children's?
Maintain equipment in a safe and proper operating condition. Under moderate supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain all types of medical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, life support equipment and support systems of moderate complexity within assigned areas. Inspect, install and provide preventative maintenance to all types of medical equipment within assigned areas. Provide training to medical and nursing staff in the use of equipment. Ensure the Maintenance program meets DNV/JCAHO, local, state, and federal compliance requirements. This position will require traveling locally and across the state several times monthly to care for the Seattle Children’s outlying clinics as needed. In addition to the clinic work, they will need to perform Biomed work in the ICU’s on days off from the clinic tasks. A good driving record is a must to qualify for driving a SCH vehicle.

Required Education And Experience
AA degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent training in Biomedical Equipment Maintenance in a recognized training institution, such as military service schools, or comparable civilian programs.
Three years experience working in the repair and calibration of medical equipment in a hospital setting.

A good driving record is a must to qualify for driving a SCH vehicle.
AA degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent training in Biomedical Equipment Maintenance in a recognized training institution, such as military service schools, or comparable civilian programs.

$37.85 - $56.78 per hour
