Responsible for the relationship management, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, of leadership annual giving donors who give between $10,000 - $50,000, and prospective donors to maximize annual giving revenue in support of the mission of Seattle Children's and the Children's Circle of Care (CCC) program. Reporting to the Director, Children's Circle of Care, this position will ultimately work to increase the number of CCC members and be an advocate for the CCC program across all fundraising teams and programs.

As appropriate, discover, qualify, and refer potential legacy and major gift donor commitments to respective portfolio holders. Work closely with annual giving leadership and major gift director(s) to build and manage a portfolio of 150-200 donors and prospects.

Support all strategies and activities for Children's Circle of Care (CCC), including member cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and ongoing engagement within portfolio. Work with CCC Director to meet membership goals for renewing members in consultation with staff and volunteer leadership. Work to ensure CCC members understand the benefits of being in the Children’s Circle of Care program.

As a Gift Officer on the Seattle Children’s Development Team, achieve annual fundraising goal of $1,000,000 in combination of outright gifts, pledge commitments and documented planned gift commitments.

Qualify and prioritize unassigned prospects. Under the direction of the Director and prospect research team, design and implement a systematized cultivation, solicitation and stewardship program for unassigned prospects and donors.

Become well informed about all forms of giving in support of Seattle Children’s including blended giving techniques and strategies. Attend training programs for planned giving and major gift fundraising professionals.

Steward relationships with an assigned portfolio of established outright and planned giving donors. Maintain ongoing relationships with donors via visits, calls, birthday, holiday and other notes / cards, and invitations to appropriate events.

Enter donor contact reports in customer relationship management software, with information regarding key meetings, tours, conversations and solicitations recorded in a clear, concise and timely manner.

Attend donor stewardship, cultivation and fundraising events to actively engage assigned and unassigned donors and prospects in the mission of Seattle Children’s.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum three (3) years experience in fundraising, sales, or similar experience involving relationship management.

Preferred

Five (5) years experience in fundraising and relationship management. Three (3) years experience in fund-raising in a health care organization. Experience using Raiser’s Edge software.

Compensation Range

104,797.00 - $157,195.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
