What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Massage Therapy Instructor position at Seattle Clinical Massage School?
Seattle Clinical Massage School is located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. WA.
We are looking to hire a clinical massage therapy instructor interested in being at the forefront of a new and dynamic approach to massage therapy education.
Our ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge and experience in the following modalities and techniques.
~ Orthopedic Injury Assessment
~ Active Isolated Stretching
~ Muscle Energy Techniques
~ Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
~ Kinesiology Taping
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Delivery of course content from the assigned curriculum, through lecture and practical formats
- Provide academic support for students
- Plan daily lessons from the approved syllabus and course outlines
- Develop and administer written and practical examinations
Schedule Availability Requirement:
- Tuesdays: 12:00pm - 3pm
- Thursdays: 9am - 2pm
- Fridays: 9am - 2pm
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Licensed in the State of Washington as a Massage Practitioner, Physical Therapist, or Chiropractor
- A minimum of 5 years of combined work and educational experience
- Working knowledge and background in clinical and rehabilitative massage techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 13 – 15 per week
