Position: Lab Technician
Location: On-Site
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8:30am-6:00pm, Friday 8:30am-1:00pm
Seattle Clinical Research Center (SCRC) is a dedicated clinical trial investigative site. SCRC has successfully executed hundreds of multi-specialty Phase I-IV medical device and biopharma clinical trials since 1991 and has particular expertise in women’s health-related drugs and medical devices as well as migraine and vaccine studies.
The Lab Technician I’s fundamental objective is to ensure efficient processing, documentation, and shipping of all specimens for the research center. This position is paramount for successful daily operations of the research center. This position is an on-site role; there is no possibility for remote work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Specimen Processing and Shipping: Receive, label, and process various types of patient specimens, such as blood, urine, and tissue samples. Follow strict protocols to ensure accurate identification and handling of specimens.
- Packaging and Shipping: Properly package specimens for transport, adhering to regulatory guidelines and safety protocols. Complete appropriate paperwork and ensure timely shipment to external testing facilities when required.
- Accurately enter patient and sample information into various study records. Maintain comprehensive and organized records of samples received, processed, and shipped.
- Maintain all study lab supply inventory to ensure adequate supply levels on site at all times.
- Order and maintain inventory of clinical supplies.
- Ensure clinical equipment remains in operating condition. Ensure emergency kit remains up to date and in appropriate operating condition.
- Maintaining exam room stock (both in exam rooms and on site) such as: Blood draw supplies, Gowns, Medical procedure supplies, or Sanitation and sterilization supplies
- Sterilization and cleaning of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment.
- Collaborate with clinical research coordinators, research assistants, and other research staff to facilitate smooth laboratory operations.
- Occasional one-off projects when applicable for the proper function of the laboratory.
In order to be successful at this position, you should:
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and willing to step in where needed.
- Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Have at least 6 months experience in a healthcare lab setting or Medical Assistant license.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.50 - $27.00 per hour
