Seattle Central College is looking to hire a Community Relationships Manager for its department called Mainstay, which provides Supported Employment services for people with disabilities.

Salary Range for this position is $54,526 to $75,300 annually. (The salary range listed is based on an 80% FTE (32 hours per week) schedule.)

Position Summary
As a Community Relationships Manager (CRM), you will be responsible for developing quality connections with businesses and community organizations to advance awareness of Supported Employment for people with disabilities. The Community Relationships Manager will provide opportunities for Mainstay at Seattle Central College to have a stronger presence among corporations and community partners. Mainstay is a self-sustaining department of Seattle Central College assisting job seekers and supported workers with disabilities in the Greater Seattle area. We're seeking energetic professionals who are committed to making employment a reality for all.
The Community Relationships Manager (CRM) will work closely with our Mainstay Employment Team to develop relationships within the Greater Seattle area to educate and support business in understanding Supported Employment. The role of Community Relationships Manager requires planning and carrying out strategic networking activities including identification, cultivation, and stewardship of corporate and community partnerships. The CRM will work closely with Mainstay's direct service staff and our Major Gifts Officer to build our branding and demonstrate the impact of supported employment.
This position is temporary/part-time working 32 hours per week, schedule to be determined with Mainstay Director, but primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours. Often, community building events can be on the evenings and weekends, so a flexible schedule is required.
This position works a hybrid schedule of both remote and on-site work.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by AFT-Exempt Union and is subject to union shop provisions.

What you will be working on:
- Work closely with the Mainstay leadership and personnel, the Seattle Colleges, administrators, and external/internal partners to develop and implement effective strategies for corporate and community relationships.
- Implement a plan with Mainstay Director and Major Gifts Officer for Mainstay to build brand recognition to local community businesses for potential growth and support of programming.
- Work in partnership with Mainstay and the Public Information Offices of Seattle Central College and the Seattle Colleges District to build our brand, social media presence, marketing, and event support.
- Direct and participate in the face-to-face cultivation and solicitation to businesses to determine their interest in providing opportunities for supported employment.
- Develop business relationships with supported employment industry partners to enhance the strategies of Mainstay and build our outreach efforts with involvement within our community and beyond.
- Partner with Mainstay personnel to create messaging, assist with annual reporting, and building awareness about Mainstay at Seattle Central College and Supported Employment in Washington State.
- Coordinate efforts with other development team members through the prospect management and tracking system and contact reports. Maintain accurate contact meeting records in partnership with all interactions and activities.
- Coordinate individual cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities with both college-based and district-wide designated staff, faculty, volunteers, and senior management staff.
- Prepare written materials such as proposals, correspondence, solicitation materials, acknowledgements, and regular communications.
- Attend and actively participate in appropriate internal and external meetings, functions, and events.
- Perform other relationship building activities, as necessary.

What you bring as a candidate:
- You will have a minimum of five (5) years successful experience in building corporate relationships and developing support for job seekers with disabilities.
- You will possess a high level of cultural competency and the ability to work with a diverse group of students, colleagues, and community members.
- You have strong communication and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication, for a variety of audiences.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to work well independently and as a team member.
- You are detail-oriented with experience consistently delivering high quality work products and focusing on achieving goals on an outlined work plan.
- You can interface with executive level administration, program staff, and board members.
- You demonstrate knowledge of the highest ethical standards and best practices of supported employment.
- You possess high motivation to set and achieve goals from a written, agreed upon work plan.
- You have knowledge of MS Office Suite and customer relationships database/interaction tracking software.
- You have a clear understanding and deep appreciation of the Seattle Colleges mission.
